Client came to SPL needing rail transport from Port of Houston to Gila Bend, AZ. There were a total of 6 heat exchangers with a total of 1,518,000 lbs that was transported
SPL provided rail clearance for the 6 heat exchangers and rail cars were all positioned for loading at the port. We did the technical tie down drawings and worked with the railroads on getting the approved plan. SPL supervised the loading for rail transport.
SPL and their heavy hauler were able to find a suitable rail siding for operation. Cargo was transloaded via gantry crane from railcars to trailers for final delivery. Two trailers were positioned for shuttle service back and forth to expedite the project.
